Cave

Anchor Bay Cave, also known as Scorpion Cave, is a popular dive site located on the south side of Anchor Bay. The cave is approximately 150 m from the entry/exit point at the concrete jetty and its entrance is slightly concealed behind a large boulder at a depth of 6-10 m. The cave is fully submerged for the first few meters, after which divers can surface into a large air pocket to view the impressive dome-shaped ceiling. The entrance is at a depth of 10 m and the cave gradually becomes shallower towards the end, with a maximum depth inside of 8 m. The cave extends over 80 m inwards and is often used for cave penetration and navigation training.

Scorpion Cave is a large, shallow cavern with a wide entrance, making it suitable for divers of all experience levels, including beginners. The wide entrance allows for a beautiful blue light to fill the cave and the exit is always clearly visible. Divers can expect to see a variety of marine life in the nooks and crannies of the cavern. The dive site type is a combination of a cave and a reef.
