About Cave

Ghar Lapsi is a renowned dive site, particularly popular among scuba divers for its extensive cave system that stretches over 40 meters. The cave is shallow and well-lit, with numerous outlets and cracks in the ceiling that allow ample light to penetrate, creating a stunning spectacle of sunlight beams dancing on the corals. The cave is teeming with vibrant colours, making it an ideal spot for underwater photography. The entrance to the Ghar Lapsi cave system is located opposite the entry/exit point within the cove at a depth of approximately x meters. The underwater cave system has multiple outlets leading to the open sea, with the maximum depth on the sea side being about 8 meters.

The cave system, while extensive, is relatively easy to navigate in daylight. The cave is flat and wide, making it suitable for divers with good buoyancy control and a full suit to prevent scratches. Inside the cave, there is a tunnel leading to a small air pocket. The Ghar Lapsi cave is a great starting or ending point for a dive to one of the nearby reefs, typically Finger Reef or Middle Reef. However, it is advised not to attempt this dive during rough sea conditions due to the potential for strong surges within the cave. The recommended experience level for this dive site is advanced. The dive site type is a cave, and it is located near Ghar Lapsi.
