The atoll is well-known for being home to many large pelagic creatures, dozens of grey reef sharks, and vast schools of big eye trevallies and this incredible wildlife makes for some high-adrenaline diving! Night dives are a popular excursion choice – especially to the world famous Alimatha house reef, where divers can encounter hundreds of schooling nurse sharks – supposedly one of the world’s largest known congregations! To really make this most of this atoll, we recommend that you are comfortable in medium-strong current.
