Old House Reef

One can get to Old House Reef by via a 2-minute boat ride from the main Jetty on Mabul. It is a reasonably shallow dive at about 20 meters. One will be dropped off the boat at Sipadan Water Village onto a sandy bottom of about 20 meters. There is no current normally and the water temperature is around 27 degrees. Visibility is about 15 meters far. The majority of the dive site is comprised of a sandy bottom but one can see a vast amount of marine life, including huge shoals of silver jacks. On wooden wrecks one can see incredibly large frogfish as well as moray eels. At the wreck of a small fishing ship one can see ghost pipefish and clear-fin Lionfish as well as leaf fish and smaller, green frogfish.
