About Rock Island

Goleen is a town 16km West of Schull,if you continue through it for 2km you will be heading towards Crookhaven and will see a turn off to Rock Island.While shore diving is possible it is located in a private area,thus making launching a boat from the pier located on the Western side of the island a better option.The dive site conists of rare items on the waters bed such as old bottles.This dive site is also very sheltered from winds
