About Gamet Bay

Gamet Bay is situated on the northwest side of Nusa Penida, between Toyapakeh and Crystal Bay and just off Toyapakeh Strait. The shallows at this site are incredibly rich and one can find soft and hard corals, bommies, gorgonians, and many varieties of reef fish. The colouring is also fantastic and might even persuade you to stay in the shallows for your whole dive. About 10 to 20 meters down the slope one finds a group of large bommies which provide some protection from the waves (and are sometimes considered to be the best part of the reef). Sharks are usually seen around 25 meters where there is a cave often hidden in by white tip reef sharks. You can also find green turtles in a cave at a depth of about 18 meters.
