About

The six founders of Scuba Junkie Penida each have over 10 years of experience working throughout SE Asias dive industry, over 25,000 dives combined and are trained in such disciplines as technical diving, reef ecology training and the creation of marine protected areas, marine biology and marine sciences, sea turtle hatchery management, 5* IDC centers, photography and much more. They have also been guest speakers in many Dive expos in Malaysia, Singapore and Australia on Marine conservation specifically their work with Sharks, Rays and Marine Turtles and on Marine Parks and have also featured in many publications on the same.Together they are an award winning dive centre both for their diver training and safety as well as their conservation work receiving numerous awards in both of these areas, such as the Wild Asia Award for the Protection of Wild Species as well as PADI training and other diving awards. They have also featured in many documentaries for the above on channels such as National Geographic and the Discovery Channel.Having first dived in Nusa Penida over 8 years ago and falling in love with the landscape and diving, the Scuba Junkie team are very privileged to now have their new dive centre and resort on Nusa Penida island, just a stones throw away from the manta rays and mola mola!With years of dive resort experience, teaching, guiding, diver training and Marine Conservation behind us, everyone from the Scuba Junkie Penida team invite you to join us and experience one of the best places in the world to dive.
