The Crete Underwater Center is located at the Hotel Mirabello Beach, in the town of Aghios Nikolaos. It is the ideal place to discover the fun and adventure of scuba diving in the warm and clear waters of The Cretan Sea. Opened in 1998, The Centre is fully insured and licensed by The Greek Authorities. Owned and managed by local diver, Pavlos Marnellos, who has been diving Crete since 1992, he has extensive knowledge of the local sites and marine life. His qualifications include, PADI Open Water instructor, CMAS*** instructor and IANTD Nitrox instructor.Based within the hotel complex, directly on the beach, the facilities include a classroom with modern teaching materials such as books and videos in different languages. With a large equipment room, that houses 30 sets of new diving gear and an on-site compressor for air and Nitrox fills. Plenty of storage space is available for any divers who choose to bring their own gear. They provide a great variety of diving services for beginners through to advanced divers. There are also high powered RIBs and fast hard boat which are moored right on the beach front, minimizing the need to carry dive gear long distances. They enable divers to access over 25 dive sites within the area, where we can always find a suitable dive location for all levels and weather conditions. In addition, they offer a free pick-up service from other hotels, to the centre and back.Authorised by PADI, CMAS, BSAC and IANTD with qualified and experienced instructors, they offer a wide range of courses, according to programs, from the above Worldwide recognized Organisations.
