About Turtle Rock

This dive site is located on the northwest edge of Matacawalevu Island and is less than 10 minutes from Tavewa. The depth of this site ranges from 10 meters to 20 meters. The main feature of Turtle Rock is the reef topography, it features reef walls that extend straight up to the surface. In addition there are numerous canyons and swim throughs to explore. On the sand flats along side the reef there are a great number of coral bommies to swim about. The sand flats offer an excellent opportunity to spot stingrays and sharks sleeping. Turtle Rock's name won't let you down as it was named for the number of turtle sightings. This sight is great for beginners though experienced divers and expected visibilty is between 10 and 25 meters.
