About The Erebus

A fringing reef surrounds Naukacuvu and Narara . Between the two, a very strong current has carved a channel. On the west end it spits out into a wall that plummets for 30m. Erebus means '�Gateway to Hell', an apt description for the entrance and exit to this dive. This is one of those sites that gets the adrenalin pumping, how hard depends on the current. The fluctuating visibility and resulting change in lighting along with the marine life along the walls that is different due to a lower water temperature make this site a breath of fresh air.
