About Venø Sund & Klepp

Venø Sund and Klepp Depth 15 meters. Limfjord is Denmark's largest fjord, and offers as we know a wide range of diving opportunities. Especially when wind and weather makes diving impossible in the North Sea, although diving into Limfjord is rarely anything shouting about. A few of the many options are found at Klepp and Venø Sound, just a few kilometers north of the coast of the Limfjord southernmost port, Struer. Personally, I keep to most of Venø Sund and a good hundred meters north of the ferry berth you'll find steep sandy slopes with a diverse life of shrimp, gobies, crabs, small flatfish, sønelliker, etc.. Unfortunately, it is also here you are most exposed to any stream current, which at times can be quite strong and goes south, it is not appropriate to dive here, because of the ferry which sails between Venø and Klepp on the mainland every 20 Mon. to Friday 6.00 to 20.00 and in addition every hour until midnight.
