About St. Sebastian Wreck

There is a good chance that this is Denmark's most northernmost shallow water wreck. The Wreck of St. Sebastian is a very easy dive at Skagen. You can drive almost right up to the beach and the wreck meets you only 25 meters from the coast. There may be a really good run of current in the area, especially after a period of medium strength winds from the west, which blows fresh surface water from the North Sea into the lee of the bay, and provides current at around 10-15 meters. The unique location also has an incredible story that is also a testimony of Skagen Grenville formation and development. It is quite incredible amounts of sand moved around Skagen Odde. Grenen as they call it, grows every year on the north by the sand along the west coast continued to flow and is deposited on Nordstrand. At the same time degrades the coast of southeastern side of the bay.
