About Fornæs

Fornæs Depth up to 14 meters. - can be dangerous One of Jyllands absolute best dives just north of Grenå. Even before the governor has found its place in the mouth, you will discover why the place is different from so many other Danish sites. This is not in water on a flat sandy bottom, but on the hard rocky ground. The cliffs at Fornæs consists of 63 million years old limestone, and they rise out of the sea floor everywhere. The hard seabed is the basis for a rich ecosystem full of various forms of life. The reason for this is that large seaweed flora can find a better book on this bottom type than on an ordinary sandy bottom. In the first part move beyond a relatively smooth surface of limestone, which sloping gently towards greater depth. After some time to get past the big cracks in the bottom. Some of them are so large that you can swim alongside your buddy in them. Features lots of exciting animals. Sea urchins, snails, crayfish in houses and other creatures
