Copper Wreck

The Copper Wreck is an old vessel that sunk in 1886 and is found on the Western tip of the Akrotiri Peninsula. Known for its copper bottom, remnants of copper and brass can still be found scattered around the wreckage site even though most of the ship has decayed over the course of more than a century. The wreck rests at a shallow depth of 9 meters, making it accessible for most divers. Surrounding the wreck, divers can explore an array of caves and intricate rock features that add to the overall diving experience. The visibility at the site ranges from a minimum of 9 meters to a maximum of 27 meters, allowing divers to have a clear view of the underwater scene. Despite the ship's age, the Copper Wreck continues to offer a unique and historical diving location.
