About Achilleas

The Achilleas dive site is a notable underwater attraction, featuring the wreckage of a Greek vessel that sunk in 1975 due to an unexplained explosion. The wreck is divided into three sections and rests upside down at a depth of 12 meters. Despite the years submerged, the remains of the ship are still in a fairly good condition, retaining a significant amount of its original structure. Divers exploring this site can expect to see a bronze propeller and the ship's engine among other visible parts of the wreckage. Visibility at the site ranges from approximately 10 meters to as much as 30 meters, making it possible to get a good view of the wreck and marine life that inhabit the area. However, the site does not have a minimum depth specification.
