About Playa Lagun

Playa Lagun is at the South end of Lagun. It's a nice family beach. The parking lot is close to the water. Facilities include some large shaded structures and a full service dive shop with a restaurant offering Dutch food. You can gear up at the car and enter to the right of the sandy beach. The water is most always calm. The cove is well protected by cliffs on both sides. The bottom is sandy, but exploring the edges along the cliffs can be enjoyable for snorkelers and novice divers. Follow the cliffs left outside the bay. There you'll find two small caves after about 180 meter, which properly trained divers can safely explore. Swim straight out from the mouth of the bay an additional 90 meters to reach the drop-off. The reef to the left is in the best shape. Finding your way back into the slender bay underwater can be tricky. Directions: Northwest of Willemstad, travel 12.3 km West on Weg Naar Westpunt from the Weg Naar Hato intersection to San Pedro. Turn left to head toward Soto. Travel 15 km to reach the intersection shown below in the village of Lagun.
