About Pestbaai / Lover's Beach

This beach is also known as Lover's Beach. It is an isolated little beach, a nice quiet place to relax before and after your dive. It is tucked beneath the cliffs at the end of a dirt road. There are no facilities here, so don't forget some water and snacks. This site is suitable for all levels of divers and good for snorkelling as well. The trail heading down to the beach is steepThe most difficult part of this dive is getting safely in and out of the water. The shallows near the beach contain some knee scraping boulders and coral heads. Snorkelers will enjoy the shallows here. To reach the drop-off swim about 55 meters straight out from the beach. The drop-off starts at a depth of 6 meter and falls to over 30 meter. The current is usually light. Directions: To get here by car, take the Weg Naar Bullenbaai. Tturn left down the narrow dirt road shortly before reaching Bullenbaai. The road ends in a small parking lot at the cliffs overlooking the beach.
