About Mushroom Forest

An exciting dive site for the adventurer, the Mushroom Forest is a site that is reached via a 4 wheel drive vehicle and is located away from most of the other sites in the heart of the wilderness. Though it is most certainly worth it. The dive itself consists of a vast number of star coral which ascends up from an otherwise baron plateau. These coral formations are shaped like mushrooms and hence where the site gets its name. Marine life is amazing with eels, grouper, parrotfish, snapper, porcupine fish, turtles, occasional nurse sharks and much more. Despite the site being a great dive site, it's also only 18 meters depth in the deepest part, making it ideal for all levels of divers.
