About The Forest City

This site is at the wreck of a 215 foot steamer that sank when it ran head on at full speed into an island known as Bear's Rump Island. The area from midships to the bow is flattened. At about 80 feet down the dive begins to get interesting and the boilers and aft rail are at about 150 feet down. Please treat this wreck with respect and proceed with caution as this ship, together with the Arabia, are responsible for most of the accidental fatalities at Fathom Five National Marine Park. These fatalities are usually the causes of these fatalities.
