About Nakwakto Rapids

A dangerous dive which should not be attempted by private boat. Speak to the local dive operator who knows the site and get them to take you out. Diving is done at slack tide, keeping on the left of the island and you will come across a drop off. The exit must be taken or the strong currents will sweep you into the boating channel, so make sure you know the site properly before diving. The currents here are extremely strong.
