About Hunt Rock

Hunt Rock is easily one of the most well known dive sites in and around the Port Hardy region. It is found in rather big water and is affected to intense weather and swells, particularly from the North West. Unfortunately, diving is not always possible and should generally be done only on slack water. It consists of two pinnacles that both rise from depths of well over 200-feet and almost breath the surface. The southern apex features a steep face on the western side that diminishes over time towards the east. A channel then 'flows' through rock towards the wall.
