About Igarat�

In the 1960s' was allowed the construction of the dam of Jaguari that would submerge the area of small and old Igarat�. Since then, the days of Igarat� be numbered, if not for the struggle and efforts of the authorities responsible for the city. Families motivated by immense joy, taking away miss, relocated their residences to the highest part, located within the same county. And so was founded Nova Igarat� in contemporary times than the old one that was formed with the settlement of the age of Empire. It's a play, because if it rises from the ashes, Nova Igarat� rose water. In the dam you can do adventure, ecologycal and marine sports and activities, that include diving at the ruins of the submerged city of Velha Igarat�.
