About Nearest Point (Piedra Kolet)

It is a very short swim over the reef with a deep mooring. It is best to dive here in the morning. That is when the winds are at their mildest, especially for snorkelers. The healthiest and most luxuriant coral formations in the Caribbean start here and continue on around the south side of Klein. There is white sandy bottom. Huge heads of mountain corals lie in the drop-off area. At lower depths, black coral can be found, as well as big orange and purple tube sponges.
