About Sea Venture Wreck

The Sea Venture was a 17 Century English Sailing Vessel. She was the Flagship for the Virginia Company and a very unusual vessel for her days. In July 1609 she was enroute from England to Plymouth, leading a squadron when she ran into a hurrican which blew her off course. She suffered great damages. The Captain steered her to s asfety spot where the crew abandoned her. The ship soon broke up and sank. Here you will find many interesting artifacts to explore.
