About Pelinaion Wreck

The Pelinaion was a Greek Steel Hulled Freighter. In January 1940 she was on her way from Africa to Baltimore with a cargo of Iron Ore when the Captain miscalculated the ships position due to the broken St. Davis Light and steered her into the Reef off Davis Head. Its a beautiful wreck. Her engine comes up to round 3 meters from the surface. Abundant marine life and corals envelopes this wreck.
