About HMS Vixen Wreck

The HMS Vixen was a Gunboat. She was built in England in 1884 and served in the Royal Navy. Years later she was decomissioned and taken out of service for being the slowest vessel in the Navy. She was towed to Bermuda and scuttled to block a channel. This was to prevent any torpedo attacks on the Dockyard. Today she is still intact and her bow is pointing out of the water. Beautiful corals encrust her and a large variety of marine life inhabits her.
