The origin of this small lake runs back to 1648 and formed part of the 80 year war period in Belgium. The surrounding area has been flooded when the Scheld Polders broke. This site may have many artifacts and valuebles dating back to this period. Even with low fish life this site is still very interesting to explore and has alot of history.
