About Shark Reef

Shark Reef, located in The Exumas, is a captivating dive site that begins in shallow waters and gently slopes down to a coral-encrusted ledge. This ledge gradually extends to a majestic wall at a maximum depth of 25 meters. The site is adorned with a beautiful display of corals and marine life, making it an interesting and thrilling dive. The dive site is accessible via a 30-minute boat ride and is renowned for its shark diving opportunities.

The reef is home to a variety of marine life including eels, groupers, jacks, parrot fish, rays, sharks, snappers, turtles, and various other species. Many reef sharks and bull sharks are common here, providing a safe but magnificent dive. With a medium current and an approximate maximum visibility of 45 meters, Shark Reef is recommended for experienced divers. The site is characterized by its reef and wall features, offering a unique diving experience.
