Sandy Point Caves

Sandy Point Caves is a beginner-friendly dive site located in San Salvador. It features a shallow wall dive that extends to a deep sand and coral bottom. The end of the wall opens up to a plateau rich in corals and marine life, making it a vibrant and exciting spot for divers. The plateau is characterized by numerous cuts, overhangs, and coral trees, adding to the diversity and beauty of the site.

The maximum depth of the dive is 33 meters, with an approximate maximum visibility of 45 meters. The current is generally light, making it suitable for less experienced divers. The marine life at Sandy Point Caves is abundant, with groupers, snappers, and wrasse being commonly sighted. The site is characterized by its reef, wall, and drop-off features, among others.
