About Hawksbill Reef North

Hawksbill Reef North is a boat-accessible saltwater dive site situated in the Bimini Islands. Named after the Hawksbill turtle, the reef offers a maximum depth of 16-18 meters and an average visibility of 28-30 meters. Although sightings of Hawksbill turtles are rare, divers can expect to encounter large jack, chub, parrotfish, and occasionally reef or nurse sharks. The reef was chosen by the Foundation for Ocean Research for filming the television series "The Last Frontier."

The dive site is positioned off North Bimini and is equipped with two mooring buoys at its northern and southern ends, providing a delightful diving experience at medium depths. The current is light, making it suitable for beginner divers. The marine life is diverse, adding to the overall appeal of the site. The site characteristics are not specified.
