About Sewer Pipe

The currents here are very strong but its best dived at slack high water. The idea with this one is to head out along the pipeline and enjoy its residents along the way. When you have gone as far as you wish head right and if you take a 45 degree angle back you'll swim into the break wall where there there'll be a bit to keep you busy. The shallower gardens near the shore are macro paradise. Take plenty of film you'll need it. Just keep an eye on where you are near the breakwater so you don't hit the fisherman's lines. The advantage about Port Stephens diving trips are not matter the weather there'll be a great site to dive on shore and by boat. One such dive is the Sewage Pipe situated past the main marina. Its best done with a tide present and can be entered at the harbor at Fort Denison ten or 15 before high tide. Regardless of the name the pipe was never used for what sewage pipes are intended so its completely safe to dive. Heading to ward to main marina hook into Teramby Road at the circle and pass the marina till the road ends to the car park. At the end of the pathway west is the entry and exit point steps into the water. From here its 7m west to reach the pipe.
