North Avalon

This is one of those dives where you could not ask for better crystal clear viz to make sure you don't miss a thing. It consists of a labyrinthine maze of boulders no higher than 17m so there's no claustrophobia or excuse to get lost. This spot is great for the novices to get their skills honed, every nook and cranny is different. The only small setback is the current can become a bit moody at the bottom but this contributes to adding that edge to your diving experience. An awesome playground filled with tons of marine action. Like Disneyland - only underwater. To get there park in the spot at the beach behind Barrenjoey High. Follow the signs to Avalon and drive through it along Barrenjoey Road and when in North Avalon turn right into North Avalon Road, then the second right to the car park. There's a trail out to the point which isn't a stone's throw but a small sacrifice for what you will experience.
