About Lonsdale Wrecks

The reef here has been the bane of many a wreck- namely; the Gleneuse, George Roper, Gange, Holyhead, Blackboy. This is an incredible site with so much to see and feel. The only thing here is to check the tide - its most unfortunate that it rarely plays with the weather to allow for the perfect dive but its worth it. They are all protected under the historic ships act and therefore their original cargo still lies intact for all to see and enjoy. There's even the remains of a railway line that was to be built. The fish life is prolific!
