Kalkite Homestead

In the 60's Lake Jindabyne filled flooding a 9m long homestead. The location is southwest of a tree where the mooring is. This lake site is an altitude dive 900m above sea level. It's situated at the northern end of the lake Kalkite Waters in the National Park area. It's a great dive not penetrable since it's been down there long enough to have experienced a decent amount of degradation. On the front porch there's a child's bed. In general there isn't much life on the house but the experience is strange enough to make up for lack of marine presence. It silts easily so viz only hits 1.5m with an intense thermocline. It's really cold to dive in winter 3degrees!
