About Garden Island

The swell here on outgoing tide can be perilous, so don't do it unless you have the experience. Rather dive it before or during high tide. At 11 you follow the floor to a 4m drop off which leads to a few overhangs to spend time exploring. Further north you'll find smaller bommies and other nooks and crannies with cod and leatherjackets. There's a lot to take up your time along the walls hiding inside the seaweed.
