About Broughton Island

The calibre of this island's collection of dive sites can be reflected the world famous 'Looking Glass', an island split down the middle, perfect for all dive levels. Every conceivable experience lies waiting here caverns, swim throughs, bommies, shark gutters. Broughton's south eastern corner has 'The Steps.' South of this site is Spider Cave which is comprised of two tunnels heading north and running concurrent. The right- hand tunnel is brighter and narrower and the left a bit lower and larger. They eventually fuse at 20m and then curve ahead left for another 15meters. At the end it hooks right before filtering out into the open again. The Island is worth the boat trip from Neslon Bay.
