About Black Rock

This site can be seen from South Solitary Island's west side. It's a rock that can be seen specifically with the wave break. It's best to dive this site when the ocean is calm. The best place to anchor is on the NE side. It goes down about 12m here and there are plenty of gullies and caverns to explore. There are a fair amount of large pelagic encounters and it's also great for macro photographers, and the fish are so plentiful the can form curtains that may even 'separate' you from the other divers. There's plenty to see on the safety stop near the ridge. The visibility in these New South Wales areas are known to rival a good few spots on the globe.
