About

The JCU Dive Club was established over 20 years ago and is now one of the largest clubs at James Cook University, with more than 200 active members and over 1400 newsletter and Facebook subscribers. The club became incorporated in 1999, allowing for greater flexibility, independence, and safety for it's members. All committee members (staff) work on a volunteer basis and the club is not-for-profit, so any funds coming into the club directly benefit the club members by allowing the committee to stock new equipment and run cheap trips, courses and social events for its members.
