Extra Divers Australia

Indian Ocean, Australia

About

Extra Divers Dive Center is located on the edge of Flying Fish Cove, on the northeastern coast of Christmas Island, and is right on the oceanfront.Diving on Christmas Island is a unique experience. Many of the dive sites around the island are huge, hundreds of meters deep abysses, which are covered with beautiful gorgonian and have many overhangs to offer. Other dive sites in turn are gently sloping slopes covered with hard coral fields that provide excellent protection for many small reef fish species. Some of these fish can only be found on Christmas Island! In the blue waters, there is always a chance at tuna, barracudas, giant mackerel and, of course, tons of sharks. Every now and then a hammerhead shark that pops up from the depths, swordfish or even a passing tiger shark ... no rarities in the waters around the island!During the rainy season, when the phenomenal migration and spawning of red crabs takes place ashore, the notorious whale sharks also emerge along the coastal waters.Worth mentioning are certainly the incredible visibility, which are available throughout the year.
