Being a small town of about 2,500 people situated just north of the Tropic of Capricorn, about 1,270 km north of Perth, it has an average winter temperature of 28 degrees centigrade, perfect for that winter getaway and a Whaleshark Swim or Scuba Dive on the Ningaloo Reef.
