About Malmok Beach

Malmok beach is part of the Arashi Underwater Park. It is on the northern shore of Aruba. The view is breath taking. The beach is small. The site and entry are both easily accessible and very easy. The water is calm, the current is gentle, the reefs are shallow and the visibility is among the clearest in Aruba. This beach is great for just about any water sport. Malmok Beach is for the more serious diver. This site can be entered from various locations that are all close to each other. There is hardly any surf or current. The visibility is usually great. The bottom is made up of beautiful white sand. Farther out the bottom is covered with algae. Swim along the rocky coastline and stay close to it. Going far out into deeper water does not pay off. Just off the shore of Malmok Beach is the famous Antilla wreckage. The Antilla is a German freighter that was sank during World War II. The ship is still intact and is a pleasure to explore. Part of the ship is sticking up from the sea and many birds perch there waiting for their next meal. Snorkel around the Antilla or dive into the chambers that are underwater. There is also a tanker close by that is also a famous dive spot. Directions: To reach Malmok Beach you need to travel south on 1B. When you reach the intersection of 1B and 2B you will see a small entryway. This will lead you directly to the beach. There are no forms of concessions stands on the beach and small huts give shade from the Caribbean sun.
