About Baby Beach Reef

Baby Beach is a very popular area for sun tanning, swimming, snorkelling, kids, and, of course, divers. The beach is protected by the cove even in the worst of the weather. The man-made rock breakwater created this giant wading pool with water no more than 1.5 meter deep. It is warmed by the Caribbean sun. The water is a beautiful turquoise. Facilities are available, but limited to washrooms and a few food stands. It is accessible by car, bus, or taxi. San Nicholas's oil refineries lights this tropical saltwater pond, which is fed by the ocean. Snorkel out through the break in the rocks but be watchful of the current once below. The stands of elk horn, sheet coral and brain coral are among the healthiest on Aruba's side. Currents funnelling along the island's southern tip make a re-entry of the lagoon difficult. It would be better to complete on nearby Rogers Beach. Directions: Are you ready for an adventure? Grab your map, and head to the Southern tip of the island to the community of Ceroe Colorado. Watch intersection distances carefully (since you'll seldom see a street sign!), drive through the community toward the ocean (not the refinery!), and you should begin to see the landmarks below.
